Nwala Anthony, popularly known as Whereistoney, is a rising Afro-fusion artist, singer, songwriter, and producer from Port Harcourt (Pitakwa), Nigeria. His music blends rich African rhythms with soulful melodies, creating a unique sound that resonates deeply with listeners.  

Growing up, Whereistoney was introduced to music through Westlife,an R&B boy band from Ireland. His uncle would often play their songs, and he would sing along, humming every word—even in the shower. Over time, he developed a passion for music, drawing inspiration from Wande Coal, Burna Boy, Omah Lay, Lil Durk, and OGC Maraji—artists who shaped his love for music and influenced his artistic journey. Through the years, he refined his own style, one that captures raw emotions and personal experiences.

Whereistoney has come to understand that music is a powerful form of expression. Now, he is stepping fully into his music career with the release of his debut single, ‘Better’ produced by Graeye. The song is an emotional expression of deep hurt, feeling stuck in a loop, and being blindsided by life’s challenges. With heartfelt lyrics and captivating production, ‘Better’ showcases his ability to translate real-life experiences into music that truly connects with people.  

“Thus far, It’s been incredible. People relate to the song on a deep level, and that’s all I ever wanted. I’ve received messages from fans telling me how much the song resonates with them, and that’s the most rewarding part of making music.” Says Whereistoney.
